The Opportunity

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional. We are currently looking for an onsite HR Leader to join our high paced organization in our North Baltimore, OH location. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and success of a broad range of Human Resources activities with a focus on meeting the needs of the Infrastructure group as it relates to compliance and daily administration of functional areas within a complex multi-state business environment.

What you'll do

  • Manages activities relating to staffing, employee education and training, management development, employee relations, affirmative action, benefits administration, and salary administration.
  • Recommends, implements, and updates Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Manages and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations as necessary.
  • Assists with the sharing of information across Field Human Resources teams.
  • Oversees the design and management of recruitment strategies and processes related to search firms, screening, interviewing, selection and hiring for all positions, ensuring the group's ability to recruit local, regional and national top-tier talent.
  • Provides Human Resources support in the areas of ethics, compensation planning, performance management, talent management, headcount management, leadership development, staffing, absence management, employee relations, and labor relations through the Human Resources team.
  • Navigates through difficult situations with ease including; conflict resolution, employment separations and terminations, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Advises leaders on organizational policy matters and recommended practice.
  • Provides guidance and input on Learning & Development as it relates to workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employee separation and identify potential legal risks.
  • Maintains the organization's structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions.
  • Maintains compliance record-keeping including statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and salary changes.
  • Responds to routine internal and external requests for information and/or reporting.
  • Proactively addresses and responds to organizational development opportunities by bringing key stakeholders together to assess root causes and performance gaps, implementing and/or supporting implementation of appropriate interventions, including tactical and project planning, facilitation, instruction, program design, materials development and performance analysis.
  • Supports managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy.
  • Prepares and analyzes department budget to identify budget needs and/or reductions and may allocate operating budget funds.
  • Identifies and drives the communication and sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include managing the onsite HR team.

What we need

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or any other related degree is highly preferred.
  • At least 10+ years of progressive HR generalist experience
  • Previous experience in leading a team at multiple sites
  • Working knowledge of relevant State and Federal laws related to HR and Safety policies and practices
  • Experience leading and managing significant organizational change, organizational development and/or organizational effectiveness
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in computer applications to include Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pivot focus effectively in response to business needs
  • History of effectively coaching across levels and functions, including individuals in more senior roles than oneself
